Glasshouse rescue

It was a Rescue or Rubble decision for the client who had had massive quotations for a restoration of the 17m glasshouse - which was missing roofing, walls and windows.

Our solution was to remake the wall using lime, replace all of the rotten timbers, and make new traditional windows onsite. A new glazed skin above the lovely Victorian vent mechanisms, meant that we retained the traditional feel of the glasshouse, without the massive cost.

“We had a large Victorian greenhouse with the roof in a bad state of repair and needed replacing. Chris did a fantastic job of restoring the roof and where possible he used the existing wood along with new sections as required. The workmanship was excellent and it was completed quickly. I would highly recommend Chris”. Benenden
