Listed perimeter wall

The challenge here was that the house’s 75m roadside wall was about to fall over at one end. After various other quotes and proposed solutions, we proposed the only sensible thing - to carefully deconstruct the wall, brick by brick, and then use lime mortar to rebuild it - knitting it in with the existing wall where it was (almost!) vertical.

We applied and got the Listed planning in double quick time, allowing us to complete the project in time for the lime to dry properly prior to any cold weather.

The result both looks great and will last more than a lifetime. We had a great many people stop their cars and have a chat, admiring the wall - there are not many projects where that happens often.
